Second Illustration

The second Illustration I did was the last page with Cinderella image, this was a strategy I had as I knew it would help me develop my work, I wanted the princess to look very different and Tim Burton styled, I also wanted Cinderella to look pretty but also very tarnished and bedraggled. I kept the royal horse exactly the same as the first illustration but I changed the colour to be white as it shows royalty and simplicity. I wanted the prince to look very regal and have a normal look that wasn't too distracting. After doing my illustration I lowered the saturation as I wanted the book to go from bright to dark, to show how life isn't always happy. If I could change anything I would try and add something into the background as I think its just very plain and missing something.

When researching Disney movies I found films Disney Pixar films as well as films the Disney company as brought such as Star Wars, Marvel e.c.t In the time line down below I have only included original Disney Movies (not including Disney Pixar). The time line shows how popular Disney films are they have been producing a lot more films since 1950.

Adbusters Research

 Adbusters is a website that fights consumerism brands/people using powerful posters that have a strong meaning/story for the audience. Adbuster shows consumers how bad company's are to the environment and to them. My favourite image is of a baby being breast fed and the mother having a burger painted on her boob, this is very inspiring as it shows that any bad greasy food the mother eats so does the baby, this poster is meant to open women's eyes up to being careful of what they eat when pregnant. This has inspire me to try and develop a certain logo and change it into something bad they do; Pepsi logo being turned into an obese person as there is a lot of sugar and calories in them.
